all in a days work

I know that I may have posted about Codys love for puzzles before but I think it may be somewhat obsessive. He did all 5 of these 100 piece puzzles in a day. Sometimes if he is playing outside he will run in the house to put a few pieces in or do an entire puzzle. It is amazing but at least he's not watching TV all day right?

what I love about SPS

One of the things that I love about the school in Sahuarita is that they sometimes do these "Lighted Schoolhouse" events. Sometimes it is a movie in the gym and this time they did an icecream social and v-day card making. They are always a family thing so it is fun to see different parts of the school where your kids go during the day and also meet some of their friends and families that you may not otherwise get to meet. These cards are a surprise for their daddy so SSHHH;don't tell.

bbq in phoenix

We went up to phoenix on Sunday for a bbq with some of Kris's old friends that he hasn't seen in over a year. Caitlin was so shy and didn't smile or speak a word the whole time. One of the girls was trying to crack a smile out of her but was unsuccessful. Kris said this was the first time he had ever been to one of the parties where he had to ask for a juicebox.....times have changed!!!!!!!!!One our way home Cameron started to cry in the car, complaining of his ear hurting so it was a very long ride home to say the least. I took him back to the minute clinic this morning and insisted they treat him for swimmers ear. Sometimes I wonder why us parents don't get paid the Drs. salary when we have to tell them the diagnosis. Oh well, at least he is now on the mend.
The boys had so much fun playing on this swing in the backyard.
Just had to take a picture of those beautiful blues
The boys playing with a stomp rocket

cute cookies

One of Kris's clients bought these cookies for the kids and I just had to take a picture to show everyone because I thought they were the cutest cookies that I have ever seen. I was able to sneak a bite and they were pretty yummy!!!

superbowl XVIII

We had a superbowl party at our house(not as many as I had anticipated but a perfect group of friends) The weather was great so the kids played outside for most of the time until it got dark. Most people left at 1/2 time to go home & put the kids to bed for school the next day. The 3-D show was a joke, especially since we put so much work into cutting out all of the glasses. We had a great time though with good food, and good friends even though the Cardinals lost:-(

Cody turns 4

I can't believe Cody is 4 years old today. We actually did just a little celebration with our family last night with cake and pizza since Kris won't be home until late tonight. Cody you are such a sweet and loving little boy and we are so happy you are a part of our family. We love you and Happy Birthday.
I didn't do a good job of actually taking pics of the lake. This is the beach area where we had lunch first. There is not much room to take a boat but I am sure we will go anyways. The kids will have fun in the boat even if we can just go in a circle.

patagonia lake state park

They have a cool jr ranger program at all state parks. They give the kids some little projects to do and than before you leave they give the kids a badge, poster and make them recite the jr. ranger oath. It is pretty cute and Cameron had fun.
Caitlin decided to protest in the middle of the hike

Madera Canyon

We have had such beautiful weather here lately. We decided last minute to pack a lunch and head to Madera Canyon. A short drive from us but so incredibly beautiful. We knew we wouldn't be able to go far because we anticipated having to carry at least one child back. Caitlin had her first experience of squatting in the woods when mother nature calls. We only had one passerby who luckily laughed it off. The boys did so good but it was hard to tell Cody to stop hopping(we did not want him to slip on the rocks) it was very narrow in some areas. It is hard to believe something like this is so close to us. Kris and I had to take turns carrying Caitlin back(up hill of course) but I actually wanted the booty workout. After being carried almost the whole way we get back to the car and Caitlin says "whew, that was awesome" oh yeah, cause she worked so hard, she always gives us a good laugh. We did not see any bears on our hike(much to the dismay of 2 little boys) but we thought one had snuck into the car but it was just Caitlin snoring on the way home(from her long hike)

Christmas Eve

Well, typically we will open a new movie on Christmas Eve and eat popcorn. Our neighbors decided to have the neighbors over for appetizers and visiting. I stayed home with Caitlin(due to the flu) but the boys had a good time. Everyday, I am so greatful for where we live. We have the best neighborhood and such good friends for both us and the kids. I am just sad that us girls did not get to go but maybe next year. I did have fun snuggling with Caitlin and watching the Santa Clause though. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends tomorrow.

one sick baby girl

My poor little girl woke up in the middle of the night throwing up. She spent a couple of hours on the couch catching up on sleep. It seemed to be a 12 hour thing and hopefully will be refreshed for Santa in the morning. It seems like this was Cameron last year. I made her a big floor pillow. I have made them for the boys and am glad I got this done just in time for her to chill out and recover with. I love you sweet baby,Merry Christmas

fun family day

This is how the day ended at 7 pm. Not a late day but we had fun as a family. Seems like we don't get many of these anymore now that we have one in school. We had a good time!!!Caitlin actually just woke up in this pic and not very happy about it. I am sure this is right before she woke up her brothers. We had gone to see the lights on Disney Lane. We usually do this every year and the Ice Age display is always the one that they anticipate the most. It was not as good as in years past but the kids still enjoyed it. Here are just a few of the favs.
We started the day off by going to see Madagascar 2. It was a really good movie. I love that they make cartoons enjoyable for adults now. I am glad we didn't have to pay for Caitlin because she spent most of the time doing the crab walk up and down the stairs. It is a good thing there weren't many people in the theatre or we would probably have gotten a few huffs. The boys had a great time.I am sure the popcorn was their favorite.

Perhaps we will have a DR. in the family

Caitlin loves to play dress up-this is what she was wearing one day. Maybe, it is wishful thinking.

pictures taken

This was a great capture-Cody always scrunches up his nose for pictures Cameron(5)and always smiling So, I finally took the kids in to get their pictures done. Why is it that with the first child you are in the studio every 3 months and after the 3rd child I'm lucky to get their once a year. The last time I had the pics done was at christmas, Cody and Caitlin both screamed so I wasn't expecting anything less this time but they did great. It took awhile to get their smiles to come out and of course Cameron had a permanent smile from the moment we walked in the door.

play time

Cody loved this bouncing thing I actually captured a great moment We stopped off at the park for some play time
