up to date

I finally took a few minutes to add a few pics. I try to stay on top of things but it has been hard with school and house hunting. The kids are doing great and excited to move. I think that we have finally seen the end of the illnesses for awhile.

peekaboo

Caitlin was hiding behind the curtain and of course I couldn't find her even with those red socks sticking out!!!

soccer

season 2 for Cameron and they are the tornados this time. He is still loving it!!!

hands up!!!

Naughty spot

Caitlin had her official time out and as you can see she is not very happy about it. She has had several since then though, aaaggghhh.

day at the zoo

We had a fun day at the zoo this morning. We left just in time as it started to rain. Both Caitlin and Cody fell asleep in the car on the way home. We had fun spending time with our friend Emma who we don't get to see much of since she is in Kindergarten this year.

rancho sahuarita

silly kids

Cody turns 3!!!

No party for this boy, we had a quiet family day, out to dinner at Carrabbas and than cupcakes and presents at home. Happy Birthday little man.

outside play

lil princess

Okay, so Caitlin grabbed this stuff out of the dollar bins at target and little did we know of her intentions. Once we got home she put on her crown and started chasing us around the house beating us with her wand, of course it didn't help that we were laughing at her.

trains, trains and more trains

I just discovered this model train museum here in Tucson. It was a rainy sunday and so I brought the boys while Caitlin napped at home. This place is so great!! Unfortunately, they aren't open many days of the month, we'll make sure to get there when they are open.

Importance of a 5-Point Harness Carseat

How many of us still use a 5-point harness with our big kids?

cabin fever

So, it has been a while since the last post. All of the kids took turns getting sick, starting with Cody at Christmas. Caitlin had the flu for almost 2 weeks. The boys have been bored out of their minds not being able to get out of the house. Although, it has been hard being cooped up, I have enjoyed playing some games with the boys. It is fun that they can both play now. Some of our favorites are:Sequence for kids, Old Maid, and Hullabaloo. Cameron likes to do grown up projects(5 yr. olds are very grown up)while "the kids"(Cameron's words) are sleeping. I have really enjoyed spending so much time with the kids over christmas break; no homework and no working on the house. I have even read a few books, before it's back to the school books in about 2 weeks. I hope you all had a wonderful New Years !!!!

lil chef

Cameron and I decided to bake an Oreo cake while "the kids" were sleeping. He was very excited for the outcome. It turned out delicious. He loves to help in the kitchen;including the dishes-what a guy!!!

Arrrgh matey!!!

These kids are so funny and always making me laugh. They put these hats on themselves and wanted to get their pictures taken.

Sledding in Flagstaff

We decided to drive up to Flagstaff for the day-4 1/2 hrs.(yes, crazy) we went sledding for a couple hours and turned around and came home. The last time that we were there was when I was 1 month from giving birth to Cody. We went to the same place which you have to drive a mile on a dirt road filled with potholes. Well, as all of you who have been pregnant can imagine how much fun that was and there were no bathrooms to be found so I had to find the nearest tree ( I don't think I hid very well) Of course, now they have bathrooms and concession stands, go figure. We had so much fun. Even Caitlin was laughing with all the snow spraying in her face and crashing at the bottom of the hill. She kept trying to make the sleds go by herself. She is a brave one. Cameron wanted to take on the big hill with daddy. They marched all the way to the top but changed their minds when they looked down and opted for a smaller one. It's a good thing since somebody got taken away in an ambulance.
Since it is nearly impossible to find winter gear in tucson our friends were kind enough to let us borrow the kids snowpants and sled. Coming from Minnesota, it is so crazy to me to have to borrow winter stuff. Hopefully, I will be on the ball for next year and order early.
Kris had 4 days off of work for christmas and we enjoyed every day with him that he was home. It seemed to go by to fast though. We look forward to having him home for 3 days over New Years.
lunch in the back of the truck stealing props a reindeer
Cameron and I made a snowman together while Caitlin, Cody, and daddy warmed up in the car. I caught him stealing parts from another snowman though. Go figure, it was a hotdog, at least he didn't eat it.

Christmas Eve

Kris' mom and brother came over around 3:30 for an early dinner and some presents and than we had the rest of the evening to ourselves. I thought we would start a new tradition this year of new jammies and a new movie to watch on Christmas Eve. We watched the Robinsons which none of us had seen yet. Cody got sick around midnight and threw up a couple of times. (so much for the flu shot) He woke up fine christmas morning and was ready for presents. Kids are so resilient-thank goodness.
